Monochromatic Challenge

The Summer Art Exercise of the week is to paint a simple lit subject (a pear, an apple, etc.) with a monochromatic color scheme, which means using just ONE color. This is will allow you to create a beautiful value study using all different values of a single color.

Working with a very limited color pallet develops your mixing skills while helping you to focus on the importance of value in a painting.
