Summer Art Exercises: Painting 3 (VALUE CONTROL)

Paintings 1, 2, and 3:  Value Control Painting 3:

Start with a solid middle ground dark shape that will hold the subject in front of it.  This will be painted in a monochromatic palette of your choice.  You will divide the image into 5-7 value shapes and block in each shape allowing for all the detail you can muster along each edge.

Keep up your great effort, it will pay off!
