Braitman Studio's 2015 Summer Art Exercises: #3 DISTANCE

Today’s focus is DISTANCE. There are three ways to create distance in a painting: diminishing forms, diminishing colors and diminishing values. The stronger the value and color contrast is between the closest and farthest objects, the farther the distance. Take a photograph of your own and use these three principles to create a painting with a great deal of distance.
