FEBRUARY MINI WORKSHOPS:
1) "Stretching & Gessoing"
- WHEN: Wednesday, February 5 & 12 from 1:00-3:00PM
- WHAT: In this workshop, instructor Nicholas Stewart will help you learn how to stretch and gesso your very own canvases! It is important for all artists to learn how to take ownership of their canvases and this is the perfect way to learn how to do so.
- SUPPLIES PROVIDED: Staples, staple gun, canvas pliers, canvas (sold at $15/yd), gesso and gesso brushes
- SUPPLIES TO BRING: Two stretchers (8 total heavy duty strips) - 4 pairs
- COST: $110 for two week workshop
2) "Emulsions"
- WHEN: Wednesday, February 19 & 26 from 1:00-3:00PM
- WHAT: In this workshop, instructor Nicholas Stewart will help you learn about and experiment with a myriad of different oil painting mediums! Learn what happens when you mix different mediums, create and use pours on your canvases and MUCH MORE!
- SUPPLIES PROVIDED: Liquin, jars with lids, odorless thinner/turps, etc. ($15 supplies charge)
- SUPPLIES TO BRING: Canvases (if you were in the "Stretching & Gessoing" workshop you should bring the canvases you made!)
- COST: $110 for two week workshop
